This has been a question asked over the years regarding Fokai and our association to 1008. Honestly, the number has ben with us sinceeversince and weve always viewed it as a Guardian Angel to the company. Applying it on design and promotions has been our intention to extend this higher blessing to our support. As the years go by, we are discovering information on the number that reminds us that 1008 is a street sign on a healthy path to higher living

Hafa Adai,                  Congratulations to Joe Duarte secured the 155lb. title and belt for this past weekend’s  “Unleashed”.   RJBlas and Maria Dunn are on the road to the Olympics. KelvinFitial is will be trainng on Guam for his second fight in

China in May.. TheCarlsonGracieJiujitsuTeam is getting ready for the PanAsias in the Philippines and Purebred/LloydIrvinJiujitsu and other Jiujitsu players from

Guam training here and overseas are getting ready for the BrazilianJiujitsu WorldChampionships in June, while Team Manibusan of the Spike22Academy is getting ready for  the next PXCLive.  RichardChou is working hard in RumbleWorldEntertainment making leaps and bounds this year in world Mixed MartialArts with ProElite and CBS recent commitment to bringing mixed martial arts to Primetime television. Up next, we have Patrick Ayuyu on deck for

Hiroshima on April9th in the K-1:16ManWorldTournament.

Its been a really impressive journey with the last ten years or so of not just Guam combat sports, but pretty much also of the rest of the World.  In this island there are at least Thirty Martial Arts Gyms and training centers, there are 3 title events, probably about a few hundred people training in the grappling arts and at least another hundred gearing fr Mixed Martial Arts. In the rest f the world, you could multiply thse numbers by a hundred thousand. With all the different categories in weight, belt color, ethnicity, gender, gym affiliation, discipline, and style that we can come up with,  common ground remains with everyone in the pursuit of self improvement as well as in sacrifice, celebration, camaraderie, and (hopefully) positive purpose.  For as many of our fighters that have fought abroad, we should also applaud the foreigners who have fought here and for those that continue to compete here. Many have come and gone, many return, but all of them have come through, this wonderful support structure, the fans of Martial Arts.

For all the open arms we offer our respectful visitors, we can gain the confidence in the better atmosphere for our venturing brothers and sisters in world competition. MMA and the grappling arts  are offering the consistent growth of more off-island requests for on-island resources. Our ever-improving

Marianas brothers are competing everywhere, our events are drawing global attention.  We have local boys teaching in respected academies overseas, we’re promoting global events, we’re significantly involved in every aspect of the sport . Interestingly, the increasing demand for quality event production is giving seed for local ventures into world-level design and Multimedia. Stepping stone events have definitely been more frequent not only for the accomplishments and opportunities for our fighter athletes, but in a broader sense for the entire local MMA industry.

Separate occasions of success in Guam have sprouted into opportunities for our brothers and sisters in Saipan and

Rota. Sparks of interest in the

Marianas is sending waves all the way to our neighboring Micronesians and Pacific Islanders.

It seems that with everything epic that is happening for our Chamorros and Guamanians as individuals, These are all wonderful things a hundred fold that have been achieved and will be achieved for the most part through collaboration. As we collectively expand our reach into Global Ventures, we will definitely see global opportunities, not only as quality competitors but also as serious players in the overall industry.   So this is as this is as much an encore and Thank You for what we’ve done in the past as it is a standing ovation in the waiting and good luck for the confidence and potential in the future for the next generations of talent from north and south; in the fighter athletes, promoters, clothing designers, and in the innovators and respectable leaders as well as followers in this industry and lifestyle; all under one flag of the Marianas… On and off the mat, inside and outside the cage and ring–Impact.Movement.Results. Thanks for dropping by.
